This home is located on an oceanfront property in just minutes from historic Haleiwa Town and a half mile from spectacular Waimea Falls Park. The property rests on a stretch of coast line which is known as the surfing capital of the world! From the beach, a selection of prime surfing spots are in front of or just a short walk down the beach from the home such as the famous Chun's Reef, Jocko's, and Leftovers! Tropical marine life, such as sea turtles, whales and dolphins, play just at shore's edge. As an extra bonus, there is no beach access from the road to this strech of sand, which essential grants guests a private, secluded beach experience. Beautifully landscaped, there are two houses situated on this large oceanfront property. The house closest to the ocean is occupied by the owner. The rental house is approximately 100 feet from the beach and comfortably distanced from the main house to provide ample privacy, but does not have an ocean view. There is easy beach access, as well as an outside showering facility, available to the cottage guests. This home has been recently renovated, and it has two comfortable bedrooms with queen-size beds, a large kitchen and living room area. In addition, there is a outside seating area, and a covered parking space assigned to the cottage. Please note extra beds for additional guests are futon mattresses. RATES:SPECIAL 2/16 to 2/22 $157 per night 1 week /$175 night less then a week. Regular Base Rate: $195/nt. up to 4. Each additional guest $20/nt. up to 6. or $1,295/wk up to 4 guests or $5,000/mt up to 4 guests. Thanksgiving Base Rate: $220/nt. up to 4 or $1525/wk. Christmas Base Rate (12/15 - 1/5): $260/nt. up to 4 or $1765/wk. Cleaning Fee - $125. We were pleased with our stay at this property. It was clean, well kept, cozy and well appointed although the living room furniture was a bit dated and uncomfortable. It is conveniently located near all the North Shore activities. The beach out front is beautiful and quiet, and although the water was too dangerous for us to swim during the winter months due to high surf and strong current, it's a perfect place to lounge and enjoy the scenery. It should be noted that this property is situated behind the owners house (which is ocean front)and you have to pass right by it to get to the beach. It's a tad bit awkward but we were never made to feel like we were intrusive. All and all, it was enjoyable and there is much to see and do away from the hub-bub of Waikiki.

Wow, The Cove is the perfect place to stay. Situated on a beautiful beach, great for swim, surfing and turtle spottings. We were also treated to a fine display of dolphin play and superb sunsets. Heaven.

Very nice vacation home. Beautiful private beach. Just 5 minutes from the some of the best snorkeling in the world (Shark's Cove). Hardly ever saw anyone on the beach behind the house. Sea turtles abound! Great heated outdoor shower for coming in from the beach. However, back bedroom of the house stayed hot all week. The one small air conditioner is located in the dining area in the front of the house. The only other unit is a stand up fan. Tried to use the fan to force A/C air from dining area to back of house to no avail. Only saving grace on this was that both bedrooms had ceiling fans. Need one of those small A/C units in back of house. Livingroom furniture pretty uncomfortable. All in all great place. Would stay here again.

There is no ocean view from the property because it is located behind the owner's house.
Beach is very private and beautiful, we were four people on the beach most of time. Once day lot of turtles were swimming just opposite our house.

If you are looking for a peaceful escape, this is it! Though you can't see the beach from the inside of the cottage, you are only steps away from the most AMAZING beach in the world! Lots of Sea Turtles! Very clean, very nice owner!

A couple of things, first, we had a young son (2) and the yard area was great for him to play in. The cottage was fine, but a few things I felt were missing. One, there were no wine glasses. Small thing, but a nice glass of wine deserves something other than a tumbler. There is no view of the beach, but the beach is easily accessed and close. No real patio area other than the yard and not that appealing to sit out there. The beach was beautiful, but the waves were big, so swimming was a challenge and I am a good swimmer. Very private beach and cottage. The outdoor shower was great too after coming up from the beach.

We thought the sofa was a bit uncomfortable. The outdoor table and chairs needed a coat of paint. We were surprised(but perhaps shouldn't have been) by the amount of traffic on the road on weekends. A distinctive marker to help find the place would be helpful especially at night. The house numbers were a bit small. The beach was wonderful! The owner was also friendly and helpful.

  There is an outside reflective marker in place , it is about 4 feet tall with red, yellow, white and blue, look for this if you are coming at night. Please give us a call beforehand if you are going to arrive late, we are happy to turn on some lights for you!

This cottage was very cozy & clean. We really liked it very much, but wish that is right on the beach, rather than on the highway side because we heard traffic when the windows were open, which hadnto be most of the time due to the weather. The house was immaculate, as advertised by the booking service. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of space, cooking equipment and dishes. The location was excellent, walking distance to several surf breaks, and also secure, due to the electric driveway gate. Very private, very quiet. A/C was a plus for reducing the temperature and humidity in the heat of the day.

I was a disappointed when I went to the Hawaii Beach Homes website and saw they were advertising to rent the house cheaper then what I got it for and they wouldn't change the price for my stay. But aside from that it was a great place. I plan to stay there again...

We loved the home. It was very clean and modern. The one down-side to the property was that there were no windows looking out over the beach. Also, there was a washer and dryer in a separate part of the house and we weren't sure if we were allowed to use it or not; there was no information in the house letting us know. Other than that, it was a great, convenient location between Haleiwa and Waimea. For those who don't know, the North Shore is a surf/boogie board destination during the winter and the water is very rough with large waves. If you are not into that kind of thing, you can still find a few calmer spots up North.

The reason we did not give the property location a 5 star was the safety issue of turning into the drive and pulling out onto the main road from the drive. There was a lot of traffic but we would stay here again. It just takes two people's full attention to make a safe turn onto the road.
A peaceful Hawaii still exists on the North Shore.

The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped, but the beds were really hard. The rooster next door is pretty loud very early in the morning. It was odd and not very private to have the property owner right on the property so you saw him several times a day, which made it feel like you were a guest and not a renter. The location was perfect.

  The rooster no longer lives next door, the home is once again nice and quiet. While there is a caretaker on property he is totally nonintrusive, and the homes sit far enough away from one another to provide privacy for our guests.

This was a NEGATIVE experience. I travel throught-out the world. The owner was more concerned with making sure he had a good experience NOT the person renting from them. There are house rules that we were never shown...watch out. It's listed as a beachfront but DO NOT go out by the beach and stay on the property you rented..you will be told to leave. This was the best place for viewing. There is only a charcoal grill that hasn't been cleaned for quite some time. Only go with 4 people at the most. THERE ARE ROOSTERS THAT KEEP YOU UP ALL NIGHT!!! The owner did nothing to solve this problem. Not a single night was peaceful for sleeping.

  We are sorry that this kind guest had such a negative experience. The owner has addressed the rooster problem with his neighbors and they have agreed to to have the roosters removed. The grill was an oversight that has been addressed by the cleaning crew. The owner does have specific rules regarding congregating directly in front of his house when he is home, so we have now added these rules to the instructions and inform all guests when booking.

Loved the location of the property - very easy access to the beach and location was close to old town, Shark's Cove and Waimea Bay and Falls. Enjoyed sunrise and sunset from beach. House was very clean and comfortable. Would absolutely rent again and recommend to others.
