  Our kids flew in from Japan,Switzerland and USA for a great stay with us in a prime location close to beach and park(for the little ones). Rental home was clean, well stocked with kitchen, bedroom and bath needs and the rental company put us in contact with fine excellant firm to provide high chair, crips etc for small grand kids. We all had a great stay.

  Was farther away from things than we were told. The house overall was not very clean. Had to clean kitchen when we arrived. Needed a few more amenities such as hair dryers. Lights by pool did not work, had to put batteries in lights on table outside. Pool was clean, did not use hot tub. Plenty of room for the six of us. We would stay again.

  We had a great three week stay at Diamond Head on the Park. My grandson was born the day after I arrived there - so it was an especially memorable visit. This house is close enough to walk to the strip in Waikiki and to get your exercise hiking up to the Diamond Head Lighthouse and beyond. It was a bit noisy, but it's because Honolulu is a working city and they start early in the morning with buses and trash pick-up. The house was clean and pleasant.

  We had a great time. The photos on the website don't do the home justice. It is very unique, with several levels giving us a bit of privacy for each of the 3 families staying there. It is an easy walk to the beach. Everything from reservation to check out went very smoothly. The only draw back was that the washer was not working, and with a small child and beach towels it would have been nice to have it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and were very comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again. Mahalo!

  This house was not luxurious, but was very comfortable. It is very
  convenient on foot in Kapiolani Park to Waikiki in around 20 minutes.
  In addition, there was a small trouble, but the correspondence of the
  staff was quick, and the work was perfect, too. I got up in the voice of
  the bird every day, and we spent it leisurely in a swimming pool and I
  sometimes went out in Waikiki. We were able to spend a very good holiday.
  If there is an opportunity, we want to stay again.

  We were there for the Sony Open Golf Tournament and it was a perfect location to get to and from the course in just minutes, as well as, a short walk to Waikiki Beach. We had our 6 and 9 year old grandchildren with us and they were able to go across the street and run and play in the park to burn of extra energy. A beautiful home and we loved it. Highly recommend this one!

  This location was defiantly larger then we expected plenty of room for our group and areas of the house to just get away. I wish we could have hung out out side later to enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian nights but even talking softly disturb the neighbors, i think because the pool made our voices echo. I Love how tropical it feels around the pool, but i may suggest trimming foliage on the south side so the pool gets a little more sun. But it was like paradise in your own back yard, we could have just stayed at the house for the 5 days we were there. I would have like to enjoy the hot tub more but again i didn't want to disturb the neighbors. A another air conditioner in the newer great room upstairs would be a great idea because it does get quite warm up there, so warm we couldn't really enjoy that beautiful room too much. Over all we would recommend this location to any one!! We will also be back to use it in the future. thank you

  Kitchen and Bathrooms could have been cleaner. House was in a noisy location. Air conditioners were not efficient enough to keep the living, dining and overall downstairs cool enough. Pool was not clean and had to call management.

    The home was just remolded and many new rooms were added. We have order a bigger split air conditioner in the living and kitchen area in the downstairs area and is to be installed on Oct. 14th. Pool is cleaned once a week on Wed by a pool company. Managment did came in and cleaned out the leaves that were in the pool within 10 minutes of the call. There is a pool sweep that goes on when the motor goes on at 10 am but maybe the clients were not aware of that. We have since made notes of that in the binder in the home. The cleaning staff has been spoken to about the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathrooms, however if Hawaii Beach Homes was notified of this we would have been happy to send a cleaner in to take care of any issues. It was an ideal location for those wanting to be close to downtown Waikiki without all the associated noise. Lovely neighborhood near the park. Also ideal for driving to Oahu's east shore.   A great location for Diamond Head. Very quaint house, beautiful wood floors. Opposite a beautiful park in a very nice residential area. Note - if you are a very light sleeper there is some noise from the nearby bus stop - buses sit and wait for a few minutes.

  Great location! The property was smaller than we expected from the pictures on the website but it is very centrally located to the park and beach. One of the bedrooms had a crack in the ceiling and was leaking during a rainstorm on our last day there. The manager came and took care of it within the hour. All in all, a good experience.

  This property is in a fabulous location just off Waikiki and Diamond Head. It has its own pool, which is very nice, beach chairs and a supply of beach towels. You can walk to Sans Souci beach. Two bedrooms with king beds share a bath. The third bedroom is miniscule - it has a trundle bed, but the room is too small to open it, so it can accomodate only one person. You must go through this bedroom to reach the second bath and the washer/dryer.

  Look out the front window at wide expanses of Kapiolani Park. The swimming pool and hot tub were in excellent condition. Loved being able to head for places on the windward side of the island without the traffic of Waikiki. Home had lots of beach towels, kitchen spices, and even laundry soap for the washing machine.

  We had a wonderful stay. The kids would wake up very early (4hour time change) and wander across the street to the lovely Kapiolani Park and sit and read or draw while we slowly got started for the day. The pool was a great way to come home from a hot day of sightseeing and cool off and enjoy each other's company. The house was lovely but our suggestion would be to have it cleaned weekly even if guests are staying 2 weeks. It would have been nice to have an outdoor table and chairs set so that we could sit with our coffee in the morning or early evening. Though it was on a busy street, one never felt unsafe. The kids loved the local people walking by with their dogs and often ran out to say good morning to them. They even had a 4 legged friend come and say goodbye the last morning. The house was close enough to the beach that one could quickly walk there, but far enough that you could get away from the activity when one wanted. A quick drive got you to a beautiful Safeway that stocked everything we could have possibly needed. Overall this house was a pleasure to rent and we will keep it in mind next year! Thank you to the owners for allowing us the opportunity to rent!

  Hello, The property was in a great location and I provide the following additional comments: 1) The house was clean, but not overly so. There was dirt in some corners and general dust. My wife provided comments directly to the property management. 2) The gas grill was not working as expected. The valve leaked when turned on and would have been dangerous if we tried to light it.   Having stayed at other Hawaiian Beach Home properties (all wonderful to great), our stay at the Diamond Head Bungalow is now added to the list. Close to everything, walking distance to Waikiki beach - shopping - dining - attractions, the quiet neighborhood and secluded nature of this classic home were just what my wife and our house guests appreciate. Able to enjoy the activites of the Park across the street, jogging up Diamond Head or around the local streets, whether for the over active - or "pool loungers" (like my wife and me)who can take in the sun and read our favorite novelist in the tropical poolside setting...the Bungalow is recommended to all. Enough bedrooms and baths for everyone in this homelike setting...and the kitchen / dining room made gatherings for meals complete.
